Erica Harrison

Erica has been an educator for over 25 years. She loves helping her students question, discover, and create! In Los Angeles, Erica taught high school English and filmmaking, founded a charter high school, and taught future teachers at the University of Southern California and Cal State, Los Angeles. She has also traveled extensively - teaching videography workshops to women's groups in Rwanda, producing an educational video in the Galapagos, and immersing herself in culture and cuisine across Asia, Africa, and Latin America. She recently moved to Asheville to be closer to family and was reminded how much she loved working with kids when she helped her nephew create a short film over winter break and volunteered at an arts program her niece attends. Erica holds a BA in Media Production from Florida State University, an English teaching credential from California State University, Los Angeles, and a PhD in Education from UCLA.
